The Crowning of Mary is a cherished tradition in the Catholic Church where believers honor the Virgin Mary by placing a crown of flowers on her head and flowers around her feet. We will pray the Rosary, conduct a Crowning of Mary procession for families and children, and serve light refreshments at the conclusion of our 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, May 3.
By participating in the Crowning of Mary, we express our love and reverence for Mary as the mother of Jesus and our own heavenly mother. We show gratitude for her intercessions and seek her blessings. We remind ourselves to emulate Mary's virtues - humility, obedience, and unwavering faith - drawing us closer to Jesus and holiness.
Please plan to celebrate this beautiful event, along with your children. If you can, bring some flowers (with or without vases) for the children to place around Mary.
